M.L. 2026 Projects

NOTE: For all projects, contact us to obtain the most up-to-date work programs for current projects (project updates are required twice each year) or the final reports of completed projects.

For FY 2027 (July 1, 2026 - June 30, 2027), approximately $103 million was available for funding from the Environment and Natural Resources Trust Fund (ENRTF).

The Legislative‐Citizen Commission on Minnesota Resources (LCCMR) selected 109 projects totaling approximately $103 million to recommend to the 2026 Minnesota Legislature for funding from the ENRTF. The recommendations were the result of the LCCMR’s 2026 Request for Proposal (RFP) process in which 400 proposals requesting a total of approximately $359 million were received and considered through a competitive, multi‐stage evaluation. The recommendations ranged from funding the full proposal and dollar amount requested to partial funding for specific proposal elements.

On May 14, 2026, the Legislature adopted 108 of the 109 projects recommended by the LCCMR for funding from the ENRTF. On May 18, 2026, 108 appropriations were signed into law by the Governor as M.L. 2026, Chapter 104, with $102,036,000 from the ENRTF.
