Monica Hedstrom is a member of the White Earth Nation and descendent of the Blackfeet Nation of Montana. With over 25 years dedicated to the White Earth Natural Resources Division, she has also contributed as a board member for various organizations including the White Earth Research Review Board, the 1855 Treaty Authority, and the Red River Basin Commission. Her past board roles include the US EPA National Tribal Operations Committee and the US EPA National Environmental Justice Advisory Committee. Additionally, Monica has served on the boards of the White Earth Tribal and Community College and the Midwest Minnesota Community Development Corporation. Currently, she is appointed as a citizen member recommended by the Minnesota Indian Affairs Council (MIAC) to the LCCMR, with her term ending on December 31, 2027.
